Long-term rescue rabbits

I thought for the next Wabbit Wednesday it might be fun to have a bit of a plug for some bunnies in rescue - does anyone know of any rabbits that have been waiting a long time for a home. Maybe your volunteer somewhere that's got a long term bunny or you are fostering one?

I know of a pair in rescue, one of them is related to my belgian hares. They have been there a year.

Could one of you do me a favour and double check with the rescue it's ok if we use the photos to give them a bit of promotion?

If they aren't on RR perhaps we could add them there for her too?

Rabbit Residence has way too many long termers!!

Nemo & Claudia are two of my favourites. Only been waiting FIVE YEARS. Be 6 years in August. They were found dumped in a box. They are both a bit shy and hide when visitors come around, but they're both healthy. They just need a nice big enclosure where they can be rabbits.

They're on Rabbit Rehome too. http://www.rabbitrehome.org.uk/moreinfo.asp?RabID=13961

What a lovely idea :) & the two pairs shown on here happen to be my favourite pairs of rescue rabbits currently available. I hope this helps find them their forever homes :)

Those two are gorgeous... I love splotchy bunnies, we'll add those in :) I'm trying to collect bunnies from all around the UK so they is a good scattering.

Anyone know any long term bunnies that are single... just so we can appeal to a wide demographic

With Rabbit Residence, any older singles do not stay that way and we bond them into a pair asap. We don't like leaving anyone single any longer than they have to be!

I have sent an email to cottontails (I think it went through ok) and will let you know when I hear back.

Not much help in locating long-stayers, but a vote for rehoming them....

We are waiting for fuzzbun Cerys to arrive from Windwhistle. She has been in 2 rescues for over 18 months in total. Another few hours and she will be in her forever home. She will meet her 2 newly single husbuns when she has settled in. Here's hoping for a long and uneventful partnership. Thank you Alice for letting her come home, and to Liz for making it possible (again).

Stanley and Alice at Pawz for thought?

I've just added them to my list :)

That's brilliant news, I hope she settles in well :D

The buns that have been at Acomb Rabbit Rescue the longest are a cute little pair called Danger & Daisy, who have been here since April last year.

Baby Rachel the wildie has been here since April too. She's a tricky bun to rehome as she behaves like a wildie, she doesn't like humans and doesn't come out much during the day.
