the x ray today has shown that nothing is broken . However she has dislocated several bones in her foot . She is bandaged up and has to rest .

she isn't coping very well with the dressing at the moment

Is she on an opiate analgesic ? Just thinking that not only might that be needed for adequate pain control but the sedating effects might also be of benefit initially.Although the sedation may mean she needs syringe feeds and fluid therapy. I expect that having something strange on her leg/foot (the bandage) when her foot already hurts must be stressful. If only we could explain to them that all that is happening to them is to try to make them better. But instead they usually think it is all making things worse
I really hope that she will start to feel better soon xx
