My little bunny which I only had for 2 months is already ill and had to stay at the vet's over night with gut stasis. She just suddenly stopped eating and pooing. She returned this evening, she is at least eating though hardly pooing but they said it will take a couple of days to go back to normal.
But now I have to give her meds 3 times a day for 5 days. Tonight was the first try and though we got it into her in the end, it was a real struggle and I'm worried that she might hate me after the 5 days. I tried the towel method but I found it impossible to get her to stay still to even get it around her so I gave up and just held her with her back to me and my hands and fingers around her chest and front paws and pulling her lip down slightly with my thumb and my partner getting the syringe in but she was really fighting back so there must be a better way I'm sure. She is a Netherland dwarf so rather tiny (1kg) and very wriggly. Anyone has any tips on how to do this better please? I really don't want to stress her out, it might make her ill again as well I think...
