Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Bunny with no uterus?

Abbiebutler

Young Bun
Good afternoon all!

I'm looking for some advice.

Basically, I took my girl in for her spay this morning and my mum recieved a phone call about half an hour ago saying they cannot find her uterus! I was already so worried about this spay now I'm freaking out! :(

Is it possible for rabbits to be born without a uterus? She defintely isn't already spayed as we have had her since she was a baby!

Ive been trying to search through the Internet and cannot find any information on the topic! So any advice would be great if possible! Thankyou!

Indi has just had her spay and they also found no uterus with her!! My vet said it's possible she just won't develop one, or it's so under developed that they can't find it. Unfortunately there's nothing we can do, unless in future you'd want to put her through it again, but it don't think it's recommended. I've just bonded Indi with a neutered male so even if she did develop something, babies aren't possible :)

One of my bunnies, Pansy, didn't have much of a uterus, just a deformed bit, plus she only had one kidney. She was around 2 when she had her op, she'll be 7 in a few months time.
