The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Fur loss and flaky skin

ClareH1985

Young Bun
Hi,

In a bit of a panic as my wee bun has suddenly appeared with missing fur & flaky skin on his back. It wasn't there last night so I'm surprised at how quick it's happened.

Does anyone have any ideas? I'll obviously be phoning the vet in the morning but just in the mean time. His behaviour seems unchanged. I cleaned his hutch & disinfected it at the weekend, and he's an indoor bun.
I'm not sure how to upload pictures from my phone unfortunately

Thanks x

could it be mites??? My wee Smudge had flaky skin on.his.ears was due to mites.. a vet visit would be a suggestion.all the best xxxx

Thanks Fee.

I'm glad it's not in a place he can reach as he's an itchy wee bunny tonight :-( I'll be phoning the vet first thing and then going through the trauma of getting him in his box.

We've got a cat too but they tens to avoid each other so hoping it won't transfer.
X
