Meet Toby... (New Pic)

I would like to introduce you to Toby. He is a Trotter x Cob 16.1hh skewbald gelding. He is 7 years old. He is only on part loan but i spent all this week with him as his owner said i could. I have had him 8-9 weeks now. He isnt like your normal horse. When he was a yearling he was galloping round a field with the rest of his herd and slipped over in the mudd. His neck got caught under the fence and he flipped over causing his neck to brake. He is now 7 and has recovered bit is numb on his left side due to the injurt damaging nerves. Obviously this does affect him in some ways like he cannot jump properly but he tries his best to please and he makes me smile.

Here is a few pictures of him:

He looks lovely. :) My first horse was a Thoroughbred x Trotter and I couldn't have asked for a better partner. Good luck with Toby. xx

he is quite a fairly difficult horse to ride as he dosnt do his trot or canter properly with him being a trotter. When he trots he canters with his back legs and trots with his front and when he canters he canters with his front legs and trots with his back legs. When he jumps because of his neck he canters up to it then stops then jumps after a second or so. I couldnt ask for more loving horse though. If he could speak he would say alot of things i have told him

Could he be pacing? That can feel pretty weird if you're not used to it. :) Trotting should be what he's good at :)

He's lovely: must be interesting to ride, as you say! Love the jumping though: at least he's got over the numbness enough to do it though :D
