Vibes for Poppy please :(

Poppy was taken to the vets today as over the past week my Mum's had to be giving her a 'bum bath' as she is incontinent and a mess. (I'm at uni, my mum is her main carer atm) Poppy has always just peed wherever, whenever but it's never been this bad. She has also lost weight and is not herself at all. Her usual inquisitive, bouncy self has been replaced with a sad looking bunny who does not move.

My Mum kept her inside with Hector last night as she was very worried about her. Back in June Poppy was taken to see Francis Harcourt Brown (rabbit specialist) because she was extremely thin and would not put weight on, she also occasionally needed a bum bath! After blood tests and xrays, it was clear that Poppy has a gut problem and she was put on a new diet of mainly veg. After that she piled on the pounds and went from 1.4kg to about 2kg! She also kept herself clean and didn't need a bath! She has been so healthy for months but this last week she's started going down hill. Thankfully Poppy is still eating and pooing.

She's been examined by my vet at Abbey House and we have had to leave her (and her companion) there. She will be taken over to the main animal hospital in Morley where they will run blood tests. They will be getting in touch with Francis Harcourt Brown to get blood/xray results and then they can compare them.

Poppy just looks so ill. I only lost Theo in October, I can't lose precious Poppy too. Please send any spare vibes you have, much appreciated.

Thank you

Thank you so much everyone. I'm happy to update you all with the news that Poppy is home and on the mend! The reason she was ill is related to her digestive problem (spotty rabbit syndrome). After an extremely expensive vet bill and so many different medicines, Poppy is back to her normal self. Sadly she will have to be on one of the meds we've been given for life (cisapride) which is a gut stimulant. It happens to be the most expensive medicine out of the 4 she has to be on for a few weeks. :( Just glad she's ok though.

I go into a lot more detail on her vet visit on this video for my Youtube channel if you'd like to know more. :)
