Rabbit savvy vet needed in North East England, UK!

Db81

New Kit
Please could anyone suggest any rabbit savvy vets in the North East England area such as Durham, Middlesbrough, Stockton, Darlington.

Many thanks

Maybe a bit far to come but the very rabbit savvy vet Judith Brown
is at First Vets in Forest Hall in Newcastle.
She has saved Molly after having 2 terrible abscesses on her jaw, would not
give up on her.
Rabbits are her speciality .Maybe ask her if she knows someone nearer you.

I use Wilton House vets in Guisborough. Jackie Pattersons (Stockton) are also good. Bridge are okay at a push but expensive and I don't trust their OOHs.

(I'm in Middlesbrough)

I know some people from your area go to Crab Lane vets at Harrogate (Harcourt-Brown's) - although it is quite a long way.

I travelled 3 hours (each way) to see Frances a couple of times for very specialist second opinion - she is the most amazing rabbit vet ever!!! (and thats from someone who has a specialist exotics and rabbit vet as her 'normal' vet!!!)

And her charges were less than my normal vet!

Can't recommend Jacqui Patterson's enough, they are excellent and very reasonably priced. Wilton are very cheap and pretty good but are quite a way out.

Also hello! Not enough people from around here.

If you email the RWAF they will let you know of your closest rabbit specialist  (you don't have to be a member)

I have just read your other thread, sending lots of vibes for your bun

I use Stanhope Park Veterinary Hospital in Darlington and would highly recommend them.

The practice is owned by vet Micaela Wright. Since she took over from Andrew Geldard after his retirement, she has put together a really strong team, with a number of exotic vets and nurses. You don't always get to see the same vet but you can request them if you choose too.

The practice has been expanded with a couple of small practices in nearby towns and the main practice in Darlington is a fully equipped 24 hour veterinary hospital. As a bunny owner not having to deal with OOH's vets and being able to see my own vets team is very important.

They are really reasonable on price as well, vaccinations are approx. £25, George and Hershel's neuters cost £40-45 and Harry's spay was £50ish. Also they will claim directly from your pet insurance, so no need for us to pay first, which is a god send and the reason you have insurance.
