Fly strike!!!!

Caught it early, just the eggs.

Rushed dusty to the vet and we clipped all the fur of her rear end. Liberally rear guarded and cleaned etc. she was fine last night so I tnk it happened in the last 12 hours.

With a thorough rear guarding is there anything else I can do apart from keep very close watch on her?

that was a lucky escape! i would clean the litter tray etc more than usual, maybe 2 or 3 times a day, just to keep her as clean as possible. also something like those sticky fly catchers may give you peace of mind. also of course look into the cause of it

Glad to hear you caught it in time; such an evil thing which can happen in a flash.

I can only think of citronella (out of bunny's reach) or a fly light
