Rabbit run

Hi All

We will be getting this hutch and run for our bunnies which will be here in about 3 weeks.

Just wondering about waterproofing the run for winter. Do you normally put something on the top of the run like tarpaulin - just cover the top or sides too?

Also the run will be on top of patio slabs so do you put anything on the ground? Or just leave it?

I have been pretty successful with polythene builders sheeting but found that tarp alone leaks.

I put polythene sheets over run and down sides holding it firmly into place by slabs! It didnt move last year, even in the gales!

Some people have put perspex on sides with corrugated sheeting on run roof but i have never figured out how to hold that down successfully!!

So basically the whole thing is covered over? Do you lift it up a little so that they can see when they are using the run? We will be buying the hutch cover so we don't need it for the hutch, just the attached run.
