So Alfie went to the vets today for x-rays, swabs and a blood test to try and ascertain what's causing all the wax in his ear. He's had his x-rays etc now and is awake, but when the vet rang she said one of his ears (the problematic one) looked considerably darker than the other one, implying an infection.
I googled it because I had always assumed an inner ear infection was accompanied by the whole head tilt/rolling/loss of balance etc. I was clearly wrong as Alfie is 100% normal in that sense!
Can inner ear infections be a right pain to get rid of? What sort of things should I expect?
