You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. George has caught Jacks fleas

Hi there,

So yeah I noticed Jack (my cat) had caught fleas, I've treated him for them and they have gone. But it seems George my house bunny has caught a couple. I asked at the vets the best thing to use to help get rid of them, they said to get advocate. I ordered it online as it was a lot cheaper than the vets were charging. I've put it on the back of his head as directed, but I can still see the odd one when I brush him. Do you think the cat and bunny are passing them back and forth?

I've even treated the whole of downstairs with flea treatment so they shouldn't be surviving.

What would you recommend? Thanks

I'm not sure which flea treatments are best but it won't kill all the fleas immediately so if you only applied it today there might still be a few alive, I think it takes about 24 hours to kill everything :)

If you've treated the cat and all areas where the cat and rabbit have access to you shouldn't see fleas anymore soon, but make sure you've done all their bedding too as the fleas can stay in there as a little reservoir and reinfest your animals :)
