  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

New Kit
The boys are 16 weeks but still no sign of anything dropping , I was hoping to take them for the snip this week , as one has started chasing the other.
I looked at all the pictures of I kind of know what I am looking for but they just aren't there and they are defo boys .
Any advice please

Some reach puberty a little later, particularly smaller breeds. It's probably a case of wait and watch!

Mine are currently twenty something weeks and haven't dropped properly yet. So don't worry about it

Im taking mine on 1st August to be checked again fort them. The vet told me that I only have to worry when they reach 6 months and theres no sign of anything. So If I were you I'd be relaxed for now.

Perhaps they know what awaits them.....so they are hiding them away for as long as they possibly can. Ooooooh the snip!!!!

I'm sure mine was about 17/18 weeks when they dropped, and I definitely knew they were there! You'll know them as soon as you see them :)
It'll happen soon! :)
