The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Depending where exactly you are iaian cope at cambridge veterinary is extremely excellent. He is a specialist trained rabbits and exotics. I take all my buns to him. Including several that have had ec

I go to The Cat and Rabbit Care Clinic in Limehurst Square, Duston, Northampton :thumb:. Simon Maddock is the main man and he's a brilliant and well known bunny (and piggy) vet. It's only a 2 man practice - Simon and his wife, Kim. Wouldn't take my small fluffs anywhere else and can highly recommend.

Have an appt on Friday for Nutmeg at cat and rabbit care clinic hoping for a better level of care from them reviews all look good

Thanks again for all your help x

Hope it all goes well. Simon and Kim know pretty much all there is to know about bunnies.

Been to the vets tonight with nutmeg Simon was fantastic with him gave him a thorough check over and said last thing we can try is a longer course of antibiotics so he has given us Zithromax which is a stronger antibiotic. He had the first dose while at the vets as Simon wanted to make sure it was given correctly as is very very sweet and normally have trouble getting buns to take it. However not my bun he loves it and I think Simon was a bit shocked how easily he took the med in fact I think nutmeg wanted more lol :) feeling much happier today just keeping everything crossed that this works :)

Glad it went well. Several of mine have had zithromax from Uncle Simon and it always does the trick :thumb:. Pea's going to see him on Tuesday.

At the vets later today to find out if nutmeg has made any improvement he seems stronger than he was and has now started drinking from his bottle again but he is still rolling all the time so not really sure what he will say a bit nervous if I'm honest

The rolling can take months to get over . . . I have one still rolling when he gets excited (when pellets arrive mostly!) after about 6 weeks.

Pea's there today having a dental and I'm collecting her shortly. It would be good to meet another forum member but bet we miss each other . Hope everything goes well with Nutmeg.

Good news I think Simon was surprised at how strong nutmeg is. very happy visit. Not got to go back until 22 August which must be another good sign. How did Pea get get on? Hope all is well x

Glad to hear Nutmeg is doing well. It's such a worry when they're poorly. Were you in the waiting room as I came out with Pea? I heard Simon chatting to someone about a head tilt and when I came out from the nurse, there were several people with bunnies in the waiting room (would have been about 6.30 to 6.45ish). I was wearing denim shorts and a grey tshirt and my bunny carrier is a pink cabrio.

Pea's doing great after her dental but the long term prognosis is uncertain. I've got to give her daily Duphapen injections. Duphapen is horrible thick stuff and it either injects first time or gets 'stuck' in the needle.

Yes I was there we were waiting for nutmegs meds as you left 😊 i have a blue and grey carrier and was with my mum and son (need mums moral support she keeps me sane) have u ever had a head tilt bunny? Reason I ask is my hubby keeps asking how long before he can go back outside (he does not want him to become a house bunny) and I forget to ask all I'm interested in is him getting better😊
