An elderly friend of my parents gave me a book, 'Enchanting Rabbits'. Haven't got it with me , but its an American book, published in 1964 with a black and white Dutch bunny on the cover. The advice in it is TERRIBLE. Rabbits don't need hay, they should be kept on a wired, meshed floor so the poops fall through. And there was a section about breeding for meat.

How things have changed.

Yes I agree. I've put it in the paper recycling, but read it from cover to cover in fascinated horror.

Have just got in from work and I've taken it apart and put it through my shredder. It was actually called Charming Rabbits.

My first Rabbit Care Book had a section on Culling

Needless to say the book was binned years ago.
