miss c

Young Bun
... he was looking at me!
I feel so naughty, but after a :censored: start to the year hes just the ticket cause i think hes soo lovely! :D
He was from the adoption side so i dont feel quite so naughty and guilty for not get a proper rescue bun, but didnt see anything local that grabbed me apart from the poor gumtree bun that i couldnt get.
So here he is! we got him sunday they named him sooty which i have stuck to so far im rubbish at boy names and it kind of suites him, hes 16weeks so still a baby really but super shy so he living inside for now and is booked in for the free neuter in 4weeks time at the instore vets, after that will use our usual vets.

aw he is cute  i would go to your usual rabbit savvy vet for the neuter though. i wouldn't use the pets at home vets, free or not.

The vets are nothing to do with Pets at Home themselves and, like any vets, there will be really good practices (and some not so good) within the chain. I used my local Companion Care for a while with my bunnies and also one of our hamsters and, while none of them were exotics specialists, their knowledge was much better than some other local vets & so, if I was the OP, I'd be happy to have a rabbit neutered at my local Companion Care.

I'd advise the OP to ask some questions to ensure she's happy with the amount of rabbit knowledge the vet in question has, rather than simply ruling them out because they happen to be part of Pets at Home. There are some neutering FAQ's here and also some general questions to ask the vet here that may help with that. :D

Sooty's lovely, I think he's going to be a very fluffy boy.:love:

Aww lovely  My rabbits used to be with companion care and they really weren't very good at all. I'd just double check your P@H vet are good if i were you :D

 all he is so lovely  and seems to be settling nicely, and not kicked out or nipped at me when popped him out side in the run for some fresh air its so warm and stuffy inside today so we all went out.
Ive stuck to sooty so far i think it suites him, so will probably keep it :).
Not decided on vets for neuter hes booked in for his health check 1st anyway so can have a chatt then, before i hand him over!! They did give me a leaflet for on the day of which i thought was quite good not sure where i put it though :? but it had basic info like they need their usual food and water without starvation because of their digestive system, the best way to transport which they recommended cat carrier and said to use towels so no bedding can stick to the wound thats all i can remember at the mo  its been one of those days 2day

And yea i dont feel guilty any more cause hes to nice!! And i decided it was meant to be, i dont even know i went in their? i had to go toy shop next door but 1 then decided i had nearly ran out of pellets and went to get more and got side tracked and came out with a bun and more pellets which turns out i actually had over a quarter of a sack left anyway :? im loosing it

He is gorgeous! glad he's settling in well

Obviously rescue is good but don't feel guilty for finding a bunny that you 'click' with - after all you'll hopefully be enjoying many years with him! :D

My hamster was the best accident I ever made (went into the pet shop to buy some treat hay for the bunnies) - there's hamsters in there all the time, but something drew me to him... he's such a character and makes us laugh every day!
