You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Young unneutered Mini with one dark testicle

BlueBellBelle

Young Bun
Hi all,

I was just giving my youngest Mini Lop his preventative Panacur dose when I checked his glands down below. He has one dark testicle on the right side and one 'normal'/flesh-coloured testicle on the other side. He is a blue self and aged around 7 months. He had not yet been neutered and is completely his normal bouncy self. Is this pigmentation normal?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Apologies for photo quality- he has so much soft fur it's almost impossible to capture on camera.

This is the side I am worried about:

This is the other side that seems 'normal' to me as it is not as obvious or dark.

He is my only unneutered boy so I have no other bunny to compare him to and is currently unbonded, so there is no chance of any other-bunny-inflicted wounds.

Sorry about the subject matter but I cannot remember any of my other boys having one dark area there prior to being neutered :?

 It looks like the fur is a bit discoloured too?

Are his scent glands maybe needing cleaned?
