Have had to let Cutie-pie go.

It was only for their vaccinations and a check up so didn't expect any problems as they are all well. Cutie-pie has been getting thinner but been monitoring her closely. During her check up Wendy felt her stomach as her weight is down to 1.9 kilos, a lose of about 180 grams, which was already a lose from about 2.2 kilos since the visit before that.

On examination her liver is enlarged. Wendy said it is best we book her for a liver scan at the specialist vets. Will phone tomorrow and find out the details. I have no idea what and enlarged liver could mean and hoping its not serious. Cutie-pie is in her 8th or 9th year.

Oh no! What a worry for you. Just goes to show how important these health checks are.

Sending loads of vibes for Cutie-Pie that its nothing serious.

Sorry that you have had bad news. I have no experience of this but am sure others on here have and that in some cases the liver has righted itself. So fingers firmly crossed :)

I'm sorry to hear that Cutie-Pie is having difficulties. :( I wish I knew something about it so I could help. Praying and sending vibes for the best possible outcome for her. ((((((((Hugs))))))))) xxxx

How worrying for you :( Has she had any medication recently? I seem to remember one of Louise and Gus' bunnies developed a very swollen liver after panacur treatment, but it went right back down to normal once the panacur was stopped.

Hugs xx

Thanks everyone for your well wishes for Cutie-pie.

Cutie-pie isn't on any medication. The vet was a little concerned as she is eating and drinking normally, everything is normal except the small weight loss and feeling an enlarged liver. I am hoping it isn't anything to worry about but she has been getting that elderly look, although bright and happy within herself. I little hearing loss and she loves to sleep.

Sending vibes, has your vet talked about coccidiosis? My bunny was losing weight and had a larger liver to treated him for liver cocci not saying your bun has this but worth asking!
