Dermot has a chronic abdominal pain problem which no diagnostics have shed any light on. He is about 9 now and for several years he has had episodes of sudden onset severe abdominal pain, but he is seldom in gut stasis. He has good output, good gut sounds, but obviously he stops eating because of the pain. A specialist eventually suggested the condition should be treated as if it were pancreatitis.
