Poorly Flopsy U/D - post 11

Mama Doe
I took these photos this afternoon of Flopsy and as you can see he does look poorly. :( I dread to think whether or not Flopsy will come round from his anaesthetic for his dental on Tuesday. I think it is just going to have to the risk we take. He needs to be out of pain and kept comfortable for his remaining months left of his life but without getting these pesky teeth sorted he is just going to suffer. He has gone 5 months without a dental, his last dental went well and he recovered fine. This time however he has heart disease, his heart muscles are very thick and they are not circulating enough blood to his vital organs, his liver is congested too.

I will feel so guilty if anything happens to flopsy whilst he goes in on Tuesday. I know he is in the best of hands and that all will be done to ensure that he comes round but there is always that high risk. I honestly don't have much hope that he will make it through the GA and i am starting to doubt whether he should actually go in for the dental but I can't allow him to be in pain and discomfort. :?

Lily & Flopsy  - these two have such a close bond and are pretty much inseparable. They have been bonded 2 years and 10 months, Lily is only 3 and Flopsy is 7 and 5 months so they have quite an age gap. Lily will be absolutely devastated when the inevitable happens and we lose Flopsy. She has never been on her own.

This was Flopsy on the 2nd of June 2013, he looks so 'well' here even though he had health issues then but compared to now

He does look a poorly boy.:(
It doesn't really sound as though you have any alternative but to go ahead with the dental as he's in pain. What a terrible worry. Have my fingers crossed - good luck.

Aww poor wee man, he does look sorry for himself... I hope he gets through his appointment Okay and will keep my fingers and toes crossed.

They look a beautiful couple... Xx
Keep your chin up Jack...

Oh bless him, he does look very sorry for himself  I agree you have no alternative but to have the dental done, sending mega vibes for him :thumb:

Oh Jack I am so sorry that your little Flopsy is so poorly. I really feel for you and the gorgeous little Lily for the worry about Flopsy's dental.

Is there anyway that they could carry out some relieving dental work without GA? Xxxxxx

Bless him, he doesn't look well  fingers crossed for his dental x

So we dropped Flopsy (& Lily) for his dental this morning.

I'm at college at the moment but mum got a call to say that Flopsy has made it through the dental and is ok! What a relief! I'm looking forward to seeing his face this evening and spoiling him.

Sorry I missed this, sending lots of vibes for Flopsy. You must be so relieved he has made it through his dental.

All is well, Flopsy is so glad to be home. He's also taken some protexin pellets from my hand and is eating the grass the grows between the run slabs. So glad as to how he's coped with the procedure. I love my special boy, we are all so pleased that he's still with us
