Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Bumpy face

New Kit
Hi I have a minni lop male rabbits 4 years old
He's happy and lively he's out is cage form dawn to dusk
Having the run of our garden daily
Well I noticed the other week he had bumps
Around his face when I parted the fur they
looked yellow and weepy
So I cleaned his cage out de fleaed it and him
And he still has these lumps on his face any
Ideas ?
Thank you

How big are the lumps ? If they are just pin head size and on his cheeks then they are probably just the sebaceous glands around base of whisker/fur follicles

But without being able to see these 'lumps' it is impossible for us to say for certain what they are. So a Vet check would be a good idea.

Hi yes he's all up to date with his vacations
I'm taking to the vets tomorrow just to be sure
They don't seam to bother him at all
I think the bumps I can feel are the scabs
They just look like weepy scabs x
