Off to emergency vets with Dee - She's gone

She's not eating, is in obvious discomfort and there's something clearly not right with her. Can I have some vibes? She's 7 years old and I'm terrified :(

Just back. thank god my amazing specialist lives on premises, I was so relieved when she opened the door!

It's bad  sarah took one look at dee and knew something was very very wrong. Her stomach had ballooned since we set off from home and she was clearly in a lot of pain. There are gut sounds but they're fluidy whatever that means. Sarah gave her pain relief almost immediately and has whisked her off to do x rays and bloods, but I have a horrible feeling that I will be losing my best friend. Can't stop crying :( I love her so much.

Waiting for a phone call any minute and we'll go from there. I'm not prepared to put her through more discomfort, so if sarah recommends to pts then I will :(

She's still alive, which is the main thing! I was terrified she was going to die and I thought that when sarah rang us at 7am, it would be to say dee had died. Thankfully not :D dee has done some poos but is still in a lot of pain and is still quite gassy from what sarah was saying. I don't think she is eating much, if anything at all, either. The next step is x rays which needs an anaesthetic (sarah did a conscious one last night as dee was in too much pain to move), so that will be an anxious time. She's checking for bladder sludge or kidney stones, as they may be a cause of dees pain. It is still very touch and go as she's still a very poorly bunny, but at least there has been an improvement.

Thank you all for sending vibes etc, it means a lot to me xx

Thank you all xx

Desperate to hear how Dee's doing again but I don't know when Sarah will ring again, she's ringing today but she didn't say when :( I'm exhausted and am just wandering round the house aimlessly, I feel lost not having her here even though she lives outside :( I'm stressing about the GA though, it's risky when Dee's healthy but when she's ill like this it's just ten times worse. *sigh* :(

Just missed a call from Sarah so we called back, but those few seconds we were waiting to get through she'd just been caught up with another emergency - typical, it's a nightmare trying to speak to one another!:lol: Anyway, Dee isn't eating yet :( Sarah had been syringe feeding her obviously but she had hoped Dee would have been eating as it will have been 24 hours now since her last meal of her own accord. She's ringing back later and we'll hopefully get to speak to her this time, not a nurse!

Looks like a second night of hospitalisation though - thank god for insurance seen as the OOH consult fees are over £100 by themselves!
