Rabbit savvy/expert vets in the North West (ideally near Manchester!)

I was just wondering if you guys could give me some help with finding rabbit savvy/expert/really good rabbit vets near Manchester?

Next year I start my 5th year vet rotations, and we get to choose a few practices to do our rotation EMS at - I really really really want to get some experience with a decent rabbit vet, I would love to be a good rabbit savvy vet that people actually want to see!
I take my bun to the Ashleigh vets in Chorlton - they are fantastic but unfortunately don't take vet students anymore (I might email and beg again soon) but I was wondering which vets you use if you're in/around Manchester?

I'm currently sending a load of emails to try and get in at good places but I'm struggling to find rabbit vets :(

Any help would be amazing!

 Don't know if this may be too far for you but I use Daisy Street Vets in Blackburn, they're small animal specialists. There are 2 vets there, David Higginson and Sam Purcell who are really excellent with rabbits (the 3rd vet there is allergic to rabbits!) and they've seen mine for all sorts of stuff and given really good advice. They're the only vets locally I would trust to give my buns a general anaesthetic or perform any kind of procedure.

If you're willing to travel a bit (not sure where you are in Manchester) there's Molly at Cheshire Pet Vets in Holmes Chapel.

Thanks for all your help! You lot are so much more helpful than uni

I've got 12 weeks to book in so might give a couple of those a try! :)

I'm trying to do a bit of research into rabbit savvy vets to have my 2 buns spayed in the next couple of months.

Can anyone tell me if these recommendations are still good options? I'm based in South Manchester but have a car and would be willing travel for a great vet :)

Aiden is brilliant - I still go there and they have saved ferg a few times recently. They're all really nice vets there :) I know Aiden is the ultimate rabbit man there but I've seen a few of the exotics vets and couldn't have been happier with the way any of them dealt with him :) would definitely recommend!

Thanks all for the advice, I really appreciate it

I will try ringing Ashleigh as they are the closest to me, roughly 15 minutes drive :)

You must be quite close to me! I'm only 15-20 from there too! They're usually really good for getting appointments with, I've never had to wait more than a couple of hours for an appointment :)

It certainly does! :)

That sounds perfect. There's nothing worse than having to wait for an appointment when you know there is something wrong with your bun :(
