The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Corn flour to stop nail bleeding

Azucena

Alpha Buck
Hi

I must have cut the quick of Humphrey's nails and in my panic trying to put cornflour on it it got everywhere! When grooming he'll have eaten it from his paws. Will he be ok? Is it dangerous if ingested?

Thanks. I feel so guilty.

I'm don't think it would harm him as it will only be a tiny amount.

Keep an eye on him to make sure he is eating and pooing ok. Has his nail stopped bleeding now? Make sure to keep an eye on that and pop him to the vets if it seems to be bothering him. x

Ok thanks. :)
Yep I stayed with him for over an hour after to ensure it had stopped bleeding. He started digging at me because I wouldn't let him jump on my shoulder (he then goes for the shelf and he's too clumsy!), and ate all the food and treats offered to him (with my guilt he got a lot!).

 Glad to see he is ok. :) Bunnies do love to worry us.
