Fergie has eaten (or tried to eat) a plastic bag

I could kill him. I gave him a new cardboard box house to ruin, I bought him a new wicker ball thing and left him for one hour.
I came back to both toys untouched but a plastic bag from under my bed was well and truly shredded - he is SO naughty.
I really hope he hasn't eaten any of it, he's had a drink and I gave him half a crunchie to make sure he's eating but he worries me and I'm away for 2 days from tomorrow so he's being babysat by my mum I hope he's ok!
