Molly in for dental again today

mollyjoker

Mama Doe
We only managed to get to 7 weeks since the last one .
I thought we were winning with the change of diet .
Switched to Science Selective pellets, also encouraged more hay eating and
also picking bramble leaves and dandelion leaves.
She gets plenty of free range time ,so lots of grazing on grass.
But the dribbles have returned and generally looks unhappy although still
eating.
So have just dropped her off for her surgery.
She does recover fairly quickly ,but always worry a bit.
Fingers crossed she will be fine.

Thanks for the messages.
She's back and up to mischief .
So know she's alright.
2 very sharp teeth growing into her tongue.

Glad that Molly has bounced back quickly.

It's such a relief when they cope well with the GA and make a quick recovery. My Herbie always recovered very quickly from his dentals and would be eating almost as soon as he woke up, which is just as well as he had dentals every 3-6 weeks. I now have another dental bunny, Roo, but he is very slow to recover from the GA and ends up with an overnight stay in hospital.

Oh no Molly sounds just like Mr Bennett. Its a tough one, I have tried everything diet wise and thought we were winning the dental war. He managed 5 months between dentals then had one in March and one last week, only 6 weeks apart. Pellets definitely don't help that is one thing I have worked out.

Glad Molly has recovered well.

Hi BYB,
You gave me some advice about Orchard Hay .so that is next on the agenda.
5 months is amazing.
Molly 7 weeks this time .They were on Wagg Bunny Brunch so needed to change
anyway and they are not being to fussy.
If you or anyone else has any tips to prolong dental time ,I am all ears.
Sometimes out collecting bramble and dandelion leaves at 6 am ,not sure if
it is helping .But getting a few funny looks.
Thanks again.
