Wise Old Thumper
Rosie has just in the last few weeks turned into a normal rabbit. She does normal rabbit things such as...
when being carried outside to free range once she gets within 3/4 four human steps of her put to the ground point she starts struggling to be put down
instead of sitting frozen in her litter try now comes up to the bars to see if I have a snack for her
instead of sitting frozen in her litter tray dives to the food bowl when I am putting her food in
flinches when you try to get little bits of hay out of her fluffy face, because you are going near her eyes/nose previously she would just stay frozen in my arms staring straight ahead
trashes her cage when she is bored
From day one she has always loved free ranging but would just freeze on the ground when I went to pick her up to bring her in, now I have to chase and catch her!
She has taken up digging big time and has started a tunnel which the rest of the buns are now working on in shifts
Sadly it did not work out with Mr Snow as Rosie decided she hated him, Snow has now gone to the bridge. Rosie is still an indoor bun but I am hoping to find a suitable older buck to bond her with this summer and move them both outdoors.
By the way her eyesight is fine. She says it was a trick.
One of Rosie's practice holes
Entrance to the warren she is digging
Soil spread across the lawn
Being towelled dry after free ranging in the rain
