Plant id help

Hello, can anyone tell me what this is?



I used to have a rose (alba) growing there, so at first I thought it was that, but it's definitely different to the other rose plants I have, and none of the plant identification tools are helping.

I'm no gardener but it looks like a sucker to me?? ( I remember my grandad talking about them when I was little, he loved his roses)
