Falon update :'(

Mattie_G

Mama Doe
Took Falon back to have her cruciate ligament re-examined. Vet said no improvememt therefore he is concerned it is more severe than just a pulled muscle.

So we are off to see rabbit specialist tomorrow in Brighton. She will probably xray Falon and possibly operate or maybe wait til after Easter.

My poor loppy girl :'(.

Good luck at the specialist tomorrow. Sending millions of vibes for a positive outcome for Falon tomorrow. I know you must be very worried.

Sending vibes for Falon. Hoping all goes well with the specialist. And sending ((((((hugs)))))) for you. xxxxx

I am worried but trying not to panic. She is in pain I think as she will let me pick her up without much fight :'(. You can see the joint is loose. She can't hop on the floor inside as slips and slides. My poor girl.

I don't think it sounds like that. It is not locking... it is more flopping out to the side. When the vet extended and flexed the knee joint, it was not only going forward and back but also extending loosely to the sides. It reminded me of a dislocation.

Vet has decided not to operate as both knee ligaments have gone snd risks outweigh benefits. Falon will heal naturally but the other cruciate is likely to go next year and she will almost certainly become arthritic in the next two years. My poor bubby :'(.

At least Falon doesn't need an amputation. I know its not great news but at least it can be manageable. Sending more vibes. xxx

Yep that's it. I am glad it should heal and we will deal with arthritis if and when it happens.
