Please share Giant photos ....

Panjanda

Alpha Buck
Hi I have been thinking about getting a giant breed of Rabbit, please share your photos and experience of the breed to help me make up my mind :thumb:

Thanks x

I've had a couple of frenchies, they aren't as large as contis/flemish/paps but they are pretty hefty buns. I can post some pics etc if you're interested

This is Eli, my bridge bun.

He was adorable. Somewhat dopey, always getting himself in to trouble. He didn't particularly enjoy being fussed but was much more affectionate than my other rabbits, he would follow me round a lot of the time was very confident around people and animals (even strange ones), to be the point of being fearless.

And this is Mack

He's very different to Eli in a lot of ways. When we bought him home he took 9 hours to come out of his carrier, he wasn't at all confident with new people in a new situation. He's still generally nervous of new people. He can be cautious and seems to think about things a lot before he does them whereas Eli would jump straight in.
In other ways, he's very similar. Now that he knows us he's incredibly confident, follows me round much like Eli used to and will happily climb all over us. Both of them were far more likely to persist with brute force to do something than to puzzle solve, whereas I'd say my two smaller buns are far more inclined to puzzle solve. He's also got that same dopey air about him.
Both frenchies have seemed much lazier and more relaxed than my smaller buns.

My Frenchies have felt like a totally different animal than my two girls, more like dogs really. I think I'll always have one for as long as I have rabbits.

Lovely photo's
How much pellets and veg would you feed a giant bun?
I guess the hay rule is the same, a pile at least the size of the bun each day?

Love them all

Can anyone help me about temperaments of giant breeds ?

D'Argi is a real character. He pinches food, any food including sausage rolls and bacon chocolate! He has also drunk wine and beer. We have learnt to be extra careful as he is very fast. He is docile and intelligent.

Falon is a lot more aloof. She doesnt mind a stroke whilst nibbling and will sniff us but that is it. Love her loads though ;-).
