Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Thank you all for the vibes. No improvement. :-( vet gave her antibiotic, pain relief and gut stimulant. not eating much still. Trying to syringe feed her, but she literally spits it out!!! =-O
Managed at least to get fibreplex down her. Will try again soon. Sigh.

Why is she so prone to gas/stasis? Am i feeding her wrong or is she more susceptible? I feel at a loss and a bad bunny mummy.

She doesnt eat hay and barely eats grass. So basically forage and muesli and pro fibre pellets. Any other pellet she gets diahorrea. Forage is a selection of multiple things.

Today leah goes in for her scan, blood test and faecal test. Its gonna cost me an arm and a leg, but hopefully can get to the problem of her stasis/bloat every so often. Not sure if im doing the right thing and that its unnecessary if indeed its all about her diet. But frankly im at a loss and just want answers. I wish she ate hay! Do hay eaters get bloat or stasis too? X

Truffle gets stasis a couple of times a year. And last year I lost mango to bloat. Both good hay eaters. I hope the tests show something up so you know what you're dealing with at least.

Leah is in vets for her scan and see if the
lump is her kidney but small or lymph node or something else. My mum already said to me this would have been her cut off point, and see if lump disappears over time. I wouldnt even be able to notice it. Just keep second guessing myself if this indeed necessary. Sigh. Guess its too late now.

Leah back from vets. Cost me nearly 500 pounds! Family and bf are shocked due to the cost. In the end the lump was a kidney. Smaller than the other one. Has apparently some calcification on end. Blood test will reveal more. Glad its a good sign so far.

Just feel annoyed by my bf as he says the rabbit effects our relationship when she is ill and then he goes to places without me. Dont exactly feel supported.

I can understand their point tho, feels like im wasting money down into the vets pocket. Sigh.

I know this is an older post and by now your rabbit I hope is better. But I think from what you wrote most of her problems could be attributed to your rabbit not eating hay. Hay is supposed to be 80% of a rabbits diet. Last time I took one of my rabbits to the rabbit specialist I got a big lecture about feeding too many pellets - I was told to cut pellets down to 1/8 a cup or less for my 4.5 lb rabbit to encourage her to eat more hay because she was overwieght. Pellets are high in protein and fat and once a rabbit gets all the colories it needs from its pellets it won't eat its hay and thats not good at all because their digestive systems are built to graze all day and eat low calorie fiber all day. Also, (sorry for sounding so negative) muesli feeds are even higher in protein than pellets so they are even worse for your rabbit. There has just been a scientific study showing muesli feeds are bad for rabbits (http://www.scotsman.com/news/environment/muesli-can-kill-pet-rabbits-scientists-warn-1-2918956). Too much protein in a rabbits gut feeds bad bacteria and encourages it to take over. So, my advice would be to cut back on your rabbits pellets and meusli very gradually and keep giving her hay - I think once you cut back her calorie intake from pellets she will start eating hay.
