April 2014 Pledge a Pound

Thank you to everyone that pledged their pound last month, we raised enough to give a donation to 5 rescues :)

We are only 3 months into the year and we've already raised enough to help 12 of our 23 rescues :) After this month the money for May and June will be banked and shared out at the end of June between all the rescues, this will be added to the money we've already raised from our auctions and other fundraisers :)

If you would like to support 23 rescues and help them continue their work, then please donate just £1 a month via Paypal to pledgeapound@hotmail.co.uk or bank transfer, for details of this please email or message us for our bank details.

Our first total for April is

£92.03 which includes £4.26 carried over from last month - enough to help one rescue this month already :)
 
We are halfway through April and Easter is almost upon us, this is the time of year when a lot of children want an Easter bunny, and sadly so many are given as gifts, they quickly change from tiny bundles of fluff to full grown rabbits that can kick, bite and chew, once the novelty has worn off they are often found neglected in tiny hutches at the bottom of the garden, the lucky ones are handed into rescues and find love and care and a forever home :)

In the past year we've heard of so many rescues closing, sometimes due to lack of funding :( The people who run these rescues are the true unsung heroes that put themselves through such emotional stress when they witness so many horror stories of neglect and abuse, they dedicate their time and energy into caring for so many neglected animals, and often with little support :(

Oops, just noticed that I never posted the Easter update!!

Happy Easter everyone - I hope you are all enjoying a nice break :)

We have some great news to tell you, we can help at least 3 rescues this month, possibly 4, because we still have 10 days left in April :)

The total to date is


£269.67 which includes the £4.26 carried over from last month :)

Dodger is looking forward to choosing the lucky rescues
