Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Bear is being admitted tomorrow :( UPDATE

HoneyBear

Mama Doe
For X rays for his sore hocks.
Please think of him RU I'm so nervous about the anaesthetic and that they will find something
Alice is also being assessed to see if they can help her anymore.
They also have to stay overnight at the vets, I know they will be in great hands with John Chitty but I'm so nervous!

Vibes for Bear for his visit tomorrow. Fiver is struggling with sore hocks too. :(
Thinking of you. xxxx

Lots of vibes for your gorgeous two. Please try not to worry too much. John Chitty sounds excellent, like my specialist. Doughnut had 3 GAs in just over a week but Mark explained that the minimum is used. It sounds like Bear is as safe as he possibly can be.

I hope everything gets sorted.

Our consultation isn't until tomorrow but a got a nice voice mail from John.
Alice's back isn't any worse, we are going to try another medication.
Bear's X rays he said didn't show up much at all so fingers crossed we can get him better with slight changes.
I'll update again tomorrow when I've spoken to John but it sounds so promising :)
Can't wait to get them home now!

Haven't been able to get on RU for a couple of days due to really long shifts, so only just read this.

So glad the dynamic duo are OK and coming back home tomorrow.

Sending them both nose rubs xxxxxx
