Just wanted to let you know what has worked for myself, when everything else has failed, and I have been in exactly the same situation as yourself and Willows mum. It's just awful seeing our little furies struggling with pain and moving about, but I think this could really work for yourselves as well :thumb:
Order in some socks for dogs from one of these silly dog clothes boutiques  It's just I have found that they really do fit rabbits feet perfectly, providing a nice snug fit, which is probably more comfortable than bandaging. I do love these socks now, and use them as a prevention as well. You can choose from a amazing array of different colours and designs, depending on bunny you are purchasing for. I think unless you have really big bunnies, you will need the smallest size for front legs, but you will have to decide what size is going to be best for your bunnies hind legs.
I have on my vets recommendation been using Sudacrem, applied liberally to the sore parts, and then covered with soft gauze, that I have carefully wrapped around the leg and then tied off, as you do need to keep the sore covered even with the socks on top. Then simply put the socks on, and around the top of the sock use Vet wrap which is a cohesive bandage that sticks to itself, not bunny's fur. So you need half the width on the sock and half on leg.
I have found this to work amazingly well, even on the most adamant bun trying to chew it off, which simply hasn't happened. In fact, I have found them to stay securely in place, and have had to physically remove myself, every other day to reapply fresh cream and gauze. One of my buns has become so use to his socks now, that he wears them daily (splay leg, so leg drags along floor and gets sore, no matter what is covering the floor), and doesn't bother with them at all.
Initially Scooter did try chewing, but on my vets recommendation, I brushed on with a child's little paint brush, a thin layer of mustard, which I think is fair to say that bunnies hate , and it dry's as well, so I wouldn't say is messy, and that soon put a stop to that :thumb:
Feels like I have really cracked it now, and am not having to go through the distressing time that you sadly both are, and so I really hope that this works for you. It is much quicker and easier as well to put a sock on and secure around the top, than bandage the whole leg, and I would be really worried about doing that, in case you inadvertly caused more problems, say with pressure sores.
The Vet Wrap does come in quite a big roll and is way to wide for a rabbit's leg, but you can easily cut down the middle to the width that you require, and that is what I do.
At the weekend when my daughter is about to record it, I will do a video of redressing Scooter's leg, so that you can see how easy and quick it is, and how it doesn't bother him at all.
By the way, today he is wearing a blue and yellow stripes design, with the little rubber grips on the bottom, and a motif of a gold crown, with 'King' written underneath it :lol::lol:
