Happy Gotcha Day Paige

We had stopped at the shelter one day in January to donate some things, as we drove away we saw two rabbit cages sitting in the surrender room. We wondered who the bunnies were so we checked the shelter's website everyday and then one day only one bunny popped up. So I emailed one of the shelter staff, unfortunately the two bunnies (Paige and Bailey) had not been fed properly in their old home and because of this their bones were very fragile. When they had brought them to the vet to be spayed, Bailey broke her back trying to run away Bailey never got to enjoy life, she spent the first and only year of her life in a tiny filthy cage. Thanfully Paige had a second chance.


This is what she looked like when she came in. She was very skinny and scared.


When I brought her home though she gained weight, her fur became plusher, and she began to trust humans. She would wag her tail and then dash off to binky.


She now loves to be cuddled.


Sleep in the sun.


She is now free range for most of the day and only gets shut in a x-pen at night- no more cages for her!


She has a soft bed to sleep in.


She has a husbun who never leaves her side.


Lots of hay.


Cool toys.


And a forever home

I love you so much Paige and it has been so wonderful to see you trust people and how healthy you are now. I will always remember the first time you jumped on to a couch, I think you even suprised yourself. I look foward to so many happy years with you my beautiful girl

Sad about Bailey, but Paige has been very lucky to have her life turned round. She's beautiful, and her husbun is very handsome. xx
