Introducing Violet

I haven't been around for a while, but I'm back now and happy to introduce my newest RSPCA bun Violet who had spent 5 years living in a cage in a flat, and was very cage agressive and human aggressive. The RSPCA had been working with her so that she wasn't as aggressive to humans, and were wanting her to be rehomed as a single bun. However, I lost Chloe and Bugsy was grieving badly to the point he went into stasis for the first time in his life. So I took Bugsy into see Violet every day for about five days, slowly increasing their time together in the cat socialisation room. Bugsy was so good and laid back that after bbeing thumped at the first time he approached her, he just sat and waited for her to come to him. I then took Violet home with me to continue the bonding process.

This is a video of the first day or two after I brought her home. My son compiled some clips together, click on picture to take you to video on Photobucket

Bugsy & Violet in their usual place

And Violet being naughty

I'm sorry you lost Chloe . Violet and Bugsy make a beautiful couple

Eta: just realised the first one is a video  he's so attentive to her giving her a really good groom  My boys are always grooming the girls, but I've never seen the girls return the favour

Aww bless him  mine are a quad so the boys groom each other and the girls too, but the girls seem to think they are beneath all that  Bugsy is gorgeous, agouti buns are my favourite but ssh don't tell my girls that

I had Bugsy, Chloe, Poppy & Pebbles as a quad for 16 months then one day the two girls had a massive fight with Chloe biting a large chunck out of Poppy's ear..so I had to seperate them back into two pairs. When I lost Chloe, I'd only recently introduced Jenson to Poppy a few months earlier, and didn't think it would be fair to try to bond a grieving bun with a happily newly married couple, especially as Jenson was a young male, and getting Violet for Bugsy has benefited both of them. Violet is so affectionate...she nudges my ankles the same way Pebbles use to.

They look really contented together x

I love agoutis and tricolours (and loads of other colours too).
