The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Runny nose?!

Alpha Buck
Hi

I've just been out to the rabbits and have noticed that Penfold seems to have a tiny bit of mucus on either side of her nose. Pretty sure she didn't have it this morning, has anyone got any ideas what this might be or what the cause is??! I don't think she's ever had it before.

Thanks

It may be a sign of the start of an upper respiratory tract infection. Is the mucus clear or white ? If you check the fur on the inside of her front paws is it matted and sticky ?

It would be a good idea to get your Vet to examine Penfold as if it is an URTI the sooner treatment is started the better

Good luck xx

Thanks Jane

Her paws are normal, its a white mucus - just a tiny bit as you can see here:

Her eyes are fine and she's not sneezing or anything, just wanted to check really in case it's normal and I'd never noticed! I'll book her in xx
