  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Rabbit savvy Vet in Warrington?

Noodlebun

New Kit
Hi everyone!
I was wondering if anyone has any experience of good vets in Warrington?
My local is expensive and doesn't offer the combi vaccine.
If not I will probably go to Ashleigh vets but it would be great if there's anywhere closer.
Thanks!

I was going to suggest Molly Varga too.

There is also Richard at Cranmore/Chester Gates - by Costco - who is good with buns (and goes to a lot of Molly's talks).

My vet is in Hoylake but probably a bit far for you - Hoylake Vets.

Thanks for the reply. I live the Manchester side of Warrington so Chester gates is further away than Molly Varga.

Thanks for the reply I've just had a look its only about 5 mins closer than Ashleigh vets! I had a look at the website and it looks really good and knowledgeable. Do you know how much a neuter is there? I know you shouldn't go on price but as both have a good reputation ... Ashleigh vets is £64

I dont sorry but I'm sure if you give them a call they will tell you. Might be worth asking about the cost of consults and vaccs too so you can make a long term decision. Welcome to the forum btw :D

My friend is a vet at MyPetsVets and was impressed that I told her they were recommended on here. She and the other two vets are very good there.

I use vets4pets liverpool (old swan) its not far from the exit of the m62 (takes me about 15 mins to get warrington shopping centre from there) the head vet, Megan is rabbit/small animal recommended, and I find them reasonably priced - A spay and neuter, with post op care cost £135 all together. They give plenty of helpful advice and the staff are great.

And they offer the combi vaccine :thumb:
