Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Rabbit weeing everywhere. May this be EC?

Ralph in the last 3 weeks has started weeing everywhere. No changes, no pattern, eating well, pooing normal, no head tilt, nothing neurological, still naughty!!

As I'm so confused I was reading about it and I read somewhere that EC can cause urinary incontinence?

I got Ralph about 12 weeks ago from a rescue, where they did have a rabbit with EC, but I don't know whether Ralph came from the same place.

Has only else had any experience of EC causing urinary incontinence in their rabbits??

I'd get him vet checked. EC can cause it, but so could a urinary infection or possibly some sort of pain from arthritus etc. Each would need some sort of medication so a vet check is your first port of call.

Incontinence can also be signs of kidney and renal issues.

I'd get him seen to by the vet , most likely bloods will need to be taken.

Best of luck x

As others have said, a check up at the vets for Ralph would be best and ideally asap. I hope this is nothing serious.
