View Full Version : Is it usual for non neutered buck to squirt semen?

And I don't mean occasionally, it's lots all day.

Is this normal or an indicator of a problem.

Not my rabbit but another school bun - neutering booked for next week at my vets but the school think he should go tomorrow but their local vet is not rabbit savvy - I have experience.

Yes, it's normal. Usually after humping something or other. Like an arm. :?
Neutering is usually the bets option for all male rabbits, they get very agitated with all those hormones otherwise.

Yes it is normal

I hope the school are making 100% certain that the Buck cannot get to any of their Does. If he is housed near to the Does it would be far kinder to move him to another location until he is neutered. He will be driven insane with frustration if he is within sight/smell of Does

Ok, good.
he's getting the chop tomorrow now.

The school no-longer have does, the only rabbits are Charlie (the culprit) and Smokey (my Poppy's brother). The other pets are a range of piggies, Jamie's and the odd fish.
