rabbit savvy vet in cambridge?

as title suggests, am wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a good bunny vet in cambridge/shire area? mine are currently registered with the cambridge veterinary group but have not needed to use them so far so have no idea what theyll be like.

thanks in advance, liv xx

You could not get much better than Cambridge veterinary group (on Cherry Hinton Rd 01223 249331). the rabbit specialists are Ian Cope and Jill Pearson.

Iam has a specialist exotics cert/diploma and also does surgery, Jill has a lifetimes experience and knowledge and also does specialist skeletal and accupuncture etc.

They also have access to on-site x-rays, scanning, and various other diagnostics tools - and off site MRI/CT scans etc

Ian also has contacts to various exotics specialists.

They also benefit from excellent nurses many of whom have knowledge/experience acquired by working with Jill for many years and also with Mrs Ford, a superb rabbit surgeon who used to be with them until this year.

PS You say you havent used a vets yet for your buns - may I ask if they are up to date with their myxi and vhd vaccines? Cambridgeshire is a very high risk myxi area.

I didn't know Iain Cope was there as well. He's our specialist referral dude at **** Whites in Newmarket and has been nothing but amazing for my bunnies and for me as well. Whenever we have anything complicated it's him we go to see (like with Sky's stuff).

Ian is no longer at XXXXX White's referrals - apparently they have decided they dont need a rabbit/exotics vet and so he has been snaffled up by CVG to replace Mrs Ford who had to go to work in Scotland for family reasons.

No way. That's great to know. I wonder if this practice will take referrals. Gutted though about **** whites.

Its not that bad from newmarket though i know you will be coming from further away You can either do a14 or come in from south m11 if avoiding newmarket route

That's good for me to know too, I can get to Babraham Rd in about an hour from our new house (I come up through halstead/Haverhill) so it's handy to be aware of various specialist options!
