Alpha Buck
My oldest daughters rabbit Belle was not looking right yesterday. She called me to look at her as she was very slow eating her tea. She looked like her whole face was scrunched up in pain. I did a basic health check and noticed she also had a weepy eye. Rushed her to the vets. Vet looked in her mouth but couldn't see any spurs. But said the most likely cause is dental so she is booked in for first thing Monday. She is also going to have x-rays to check tooth roots as he said it could be that as well. He gave her a painkilling injection and i have oral metcam for her. He also gave me recovery food for her. My instructions for the weekend are to keep her eating.
Having never had a dental bunny before what after care is involved. I have a pen i can set up indoors post operation. Is it the same as post spay where you have to keep them warn and encourage them to eat?
