  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Beaphar anti-parasite spot on treatment - how many uses?

Depending on what you are using it for, you may need to treat monthly - often 3 treatments.

It says there are 4 tubes in the pack. They are not resealable so once opened can't be kept.

I had a similar problem last month. I had a G Pig with mites and needed some ivermectin. Couldn't find enough detail about the dose rates per pack / tube and ended up getting the wrong size (Xeno 50). She needs 3 tubes per treatment for her weight - which is a bit messy. I could have got the next size / dose up (Xeno 450) and it would have worked out better. I also guessed her weight before ordering and should have checked it properly as she was nearer 1kg than 800g. There just isn't the information you need until you have the packaging.

What i have wrote is off the back of the packet i always try and keep some in stock at home as having rats it always comes in handy
