This is my old boy Connor, I rehomed him about 18mths ago. A lab rescue group brought him over from Ireland on the day he was due to be pts. He'd been starved thin, has skin problems and has worn his teeth down to the gum but he is the most adorable loving dog and is thoroughly enjoying his retirement now

and that's it really, just thought id share a few pics of my furry/scaly family :)

They all look very happy and content :D The lizards are beautiful :love::love: They fascinate me and I've never heard of the Saharan uromastyx geyr before. What attracted you to those types of lizard in particular? I would love another lizard- I had a leopard gecko when I was younger, but he got ill and died after about 6 months. He went to the vet a couple of times and they were pretty much no help at all. It was really sad, and I've been scared to get another one since it happened :( I knew someone who had bearded dragons and I thought that they were brilliant.

i love reptiles but whilst I have no prob with feeding them crickets, I was more concerned I wouldn't look after the crickets well enough so they wouldn't be v good for the lizard so I did research into vegetarian lizards

both uromastyx (theres loads of diff types) and desert iguanas are fed purely on a mix of fruit, veg, seeds and flowers. its harder in as much as you have to make sure they get a good varied diet everyday to cover all the nutrition they require but I downloaded a long list of foods they can have and make sure I mix up what they get but they all have their faves that I make sure they get every day

uromastyx means "whip tail" as that's their first line of defence but I make sure I handle all the lizards a couple of times a week minimum to make sure she doesn't use that spikey tail towards me! they take pretty specialist care as far as temps and uv lighting go but shes so worth it

geckos are really cute, id just say make sure you go to a knowledgeable reptile store where u know u can go back for help, im lucky, I have 2 very good rep shops nr me but I had to drive over an hour away to get Kizzy as they don't come up for sale too often!
