Small furries Education event - Cambridgeshire 26th October

Over the past few years there have been a few Pet Initiative days run by NERS with the aim to provide the public with advice on good standards of rat care, but now the time has come to become independent and begin the expansion to cover more species, hence the PI has become the NPI!

The newly established National Pet Initiative is holding its launch in Meldreth Village Hall SG8 6LX, on Saturday 26th October, 9am start for setting up, public hours 11 - 4pm.

There will be:
information displays on rats, rabbits, and guinea pigs, plus some handouts
examples of food, bedding, housing, and enrichment
a chance to meet the animals
Q&A discussion session with a panel including some veterinary experts
a pet show for rats, run by NERS - send entries via the online form http://www.neratsociety.co.uk/forms/showentries.php by end of Wednesday 23rd Oct
fun activities for animals and humans
stalls selling food and accessories for small pets, and things for humans too (including Rat Rations, and The Onion Maid Art)
refreshments by Jon's Kitchen

Rhian - do you know what other stalls are going to be there? Anyone else rabbity? (Need to know if I need to have a game face on if there are rabbit breeders their as their idea of rabbit care can differ from rabbit rescue!!!)

No other bunny stuff apart from Wood Green Cat hence asking for a rabbity stall but no idea which rabbit owners will be attending as visitors.

The event is all about responsible sourcing of pets amongst other things. Read into that what you will ;-).
