Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Well... I've finally admitted to myself that's it not my imagination and that Teddybun drinks/pees farrrrrrrr too much. We're vetting on Saturday :(

Depressed. I've researched a bit about the possible causes and they all sound bad.

Boo.

Will let you know how my big footed star gets on.

Thanks for your interest guys :)

Jolly sensible vet, and very nice. :)

He looked him all over, checked his teeth, heartbeat and temp, and said Ted looks so well (he even said he was cute teehee) that what we'll do is just weigh him every few weeks and check his weight is stable.

He reckons that most things that manifest with polydipsia also manifest weightloss....and he said he's a young healthy bun so hopefully he's just a thirsty boy!

Hmmm a little update on the big fuzzy one. He has lost weight, but an insignificant amount. The Vet said it could even be down to the fact he was using a different set of scales. So we're going to weigh him every month to check there's nothing going on there.

He weighed Little too....she's almost the same as Ted!!!

That's her fat little tummy....ooops bad mummy!

I love that vet so much.... even though I can't understand everything he says.

He picked Little up and said something something something KANGEROO!:lol:

She does look a bit like one sometimes.
