Hi there, We are in need of help re-homing Tilly our widowed bunny.

We have 4 rescues, Dylan and Cranberry who are bonded together, and we had Willow and Tilly who were also bonded. We lost Willow in the really hot weather, poor boy just could not cope, so I had another go at bonding sisters Cranberry and Tilly along with Dylan. They were bonded as sisters when we first homed them from the RSPCA in Walsall, until they had to be spayed. Once the anesthetic wore off, we had locked on fighting and they tried to kill each other. We figured it was a surge of hormones from the operations, so ended up bonding them in separate groups where they have lived happily for the last 5 years. So now Tilly is on her own we had another go at bonding her with Cranberry and Dylan. It all went text book, borrowed a neighbors dog crate, kept them together for 2 days, sterilized their existing shed and run, then put them all back in together. They have lived together no problems for nearly 2 weeks, then 2 days ago all hell broke loose. Locked on fighting and some serious damage to Cranberry. It just looks as though Tilly will not share any males she is bonded too within a group situation. She will bond with a male no problems, as she seems to be a 1 to 1 type of attention bunny, but add another bunny? WW3. So we are looking to re-home her with someone who has a male bunny in need of companionship.

Here is a link to Tilly when she was bonded with her sister:

Hope someone can help us, as she is depressed and not her usual self on her own, but we can't have her taking chunks out of our other bunnies!

So was Tilly originally from RSPCA Walsall?

If so she needs to come back to us.

Yes, Tilly needs to come back to us. You wouldve signed RSPCA adoption paperwork stating if you can no longer care for her she must be returned to us. Please can you email me at enquiries@rspca-walsall.org.uk, or leave a message on our branch answerphone 08452723570 and I will call you back, as soon as possible. We will take her back straight away.
