 They look great together and it must be meant to be if he has taken to her already. What a wonderful bunny owner you are to think of Clarence first.

Thank you I was lucky to get her she was the last out of a litter of 9 her mum came into the Rspca pregnant! All the others had gone and she was on her own bless her x

The Rspca said she was calm and laid back like her mum.only shes not shes been lunging and biting Clarence so shes in a puppy pen now in his room I just went in the puppy pen and she atacked my leg and just in the air to attack my hand!!! :(

Well Hattie is not a very friendly girl at all :( she lunges. Bites.grunts She doesnt want me or Clarence anywhere near her :(

Hmmm...maybe she needs a little more time and attention?

I'm sure she'll come round soon.

xx

Willow lunged a bit at first. I think she was a bit overwhelmed by everything. She has settled down now though and doesn't do it, although she is rather insistent when she wants food. One of her nudges can virtually knock you over! Perhaps the way to Hattie's heart is through food too? She looks exactly like Willow!

Ive tried just sitting with her.stroking her and taking her out in to another room so she doesnt feel territorial. But she will be fine then Lunge at you.Shes worse if there is food around :(

How old is she and is she spayed yet? Or was she done recently?

Don't give up hope, that sounds like it could be hormonal or if not it still doesn't mean it won't change. My Poppy lunged when I got her, one of the reasons I ended up as a foster mummy. Give her some stability security and time and I'm sure she will come round. Poppy did, she is a little dopey cuddly fluff ball now!

Speyed at 8 weeks  the RSPCA do it that early..poor thing  With giants thought it was even more important to neuter a bit later
she had a lot of change so give her time..bonding is not instant and a new animal need patience

 :? That is shocking, I didn't think it was physically OK to spay that early? With her behaviour being so hormonal sounding I would really question that, and ask for an ultrasound to see if she really has been done

8 weeks!!! Are you sure?? I thought does were suppose to be spayed at 5-6 months, and bucks could be from 16 weeks is it? I don't think that's right. I would be worried she had been totally screwed up being spayed at that age, she was still a baby for goodness sake, and her hormones and that wouldn't even have kicked in. I'm surprised she even survived the op at that young age.

Unfortunately, this is what it seems RSPCA do! Our puppy was neutered at approx 10 weeks and large/giant breeds shouldn't really be neutered until they are 12-18 months.

Bluebunny, it could take days, weeks or months, but you need to give her time to settle in and get used to you all. My trio STILL don't let me touch them and I've had them 4 months. I've had so much progress that they come when called and will clamber on top of me, but as soon as I touch them, they're off  She is probably very scared still and had little socialisation with humans when she was growing up. Let her come to you, not the other way around :)

Awful..and after all the complaints of PAH doing this last year amazed that the RSPCA are doing this and also that any experienced rabbit owner would agree to it

They neuter dogs cats and rabbits at 8 weeks now I didnt say I agreed with it but she was already done so nothing I could do :/

Poor bunbun i'm really shocked that a charity for animal welfare would do this :( have to say i'm really disappointed.. With my local rescue (Mayhew), if you adopt a young animal you can bring them back to their vet clinic to be done when they are old enough (for free). she will probably need lots of time to settle in and chill out after her stressful start to life, hope she starts to feel better soon
