Can my bun have this?

Willowsmum

Mama Doe

Oh bought this back from allotment, we think it's oak but not sure, it's old. Can I put it in willows run? He will eat it so it worries me cause I don't know what wood it is, but if it's old is that ok???

If it's oak it should be fine but if it's from a fruit tree such as cherry, apricot, plum then it isn't. It's fruit which have one stone in which aren't good for bunnies.

Also make sure it hasn't been sprayed with anything.

Oh right, thanks :thumb: didn't know that. It is old looks like it's broken away from the tree long time ago, does that make it more safe??

If you're not sure on exactly what it is, then maybe it's best not to give it to the buns, just in case.

I don't know if it being old makes it more safe. Maybe someone else with more knowledge will come along, I just know fruit trees aren't safe for rabbits.
