  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

I just want my Bear to be better :(

HoneyBear

Mama Doe
Poor thing he's been huddled behind the sofa since he got in terrified.
I made them dinner and he ignored it, I did manage to hand feed him 1 pellet and tempt him with 1 bite of banana which he usually goes crazy for.
I wish there was something I could do, I was so excited to pick them up but now I'm worried sick again :(

Aww how long has he been home now? He is probably still stressed after his ordeal :( what did he eat at the vets? X

Oh no. I would take him back to the vets he's obviously not his normal cheeky self.

Hope you manage to get some more food down him. Have you got any herbs or can you pick a bit of grass. I always think they seem to like the fresh stuff after they've been ill.

Lots of hugs to you and little bear. X

I hope Bear is feeling better today. It's so stressful when they are poorly. I am always a wreck.

Sending lots and lots of vibes xxxx
